In older generations aboriginal cultures around the world, there is a belief that a photo captures an essence of your soul (hence why many of them didn’t want their photo taken). Some painting portraits can really expose something uncannily alike of that particular person.

All photos and objects (that we own) carry an essence of who we are. This is similar to our own individual fingerprint identifying us as individuals.
