I recently did a talk in Manly for a Dogs Day Out event. It was so much fun and all I can say is that it was like Dogs Gone Wild before my very eyes. I spoke about how to deepen your connection with your pets and the love we have for our pets. It’s as if they touch our souls and we can’t imagine what life was like before them.
In previous blogs, I’ve written that Animal Communication is a language built up of our 5 senses. We use them everyday in our communication, however not all of us are finely tuned in to be aware of this consciously.
Take for example watching a movie – we see it on the screen, we hear it through the speakers. It even invokes feelings and emotions within us. The only thing it doesn’t do is give us a sense of smell or taste (unless it’s something that we’ve experienced before). Now imagine you were communicating with a person in this manner – how much more would you be able to pick up on by using this style of conversation?
Our pets make us responsible for the state that we’re in, how we’re managing our emotions and stress in everyday living. Dogs especially are quite reactive to the energy in the household, so our state effects our communication on all levels.
We de clutter the home or office-physical space
We unwind the body -emotional space
So when we’re going through your daily living my question to you is – ‘Is there any emotional space around you? ‘
Now I’m an advocate of meditation and try to maintain a daily practice of meditating whether it’s 5min or up to an 1hr. My intention is to enter a present state of consciousness.
I start with 5-10 cycles of deep slow breathing to be able to connect with my body and to slow down my mind. It’s amazing what emotional space can do in your life.
By creating emotional space you allow a deeper connection with your pet. All you have to do is….
5-10 cycles of deep slow breathing and then think of your pet. Often our entire body softens and feels a beautiful sense of love which your pet will feel immediately.
This is the opportunity to mingle with your pet through your senses and theirs. If there is a message that you would like to share with them then this is the space to do it in. Have the image in your mind (just as if you’re watching a movie), you could even say it out loud gently.
You will also feel this and be sending out an emotion/feeling that your pet will connect with. This is sending a clear message to your pet, calmly and whilst feeling connected.
So do your pet a favour, when you want to connect with them and/or send them a message. Create some emotional space to invite the connection. It’s completely in the moment and your pet will know it’s for them.
